about my art work...

I enjoy using art to document unique moments. Watercolor has formed the basis of
much of my work because it's a good medium for capturing fleeting moments and I
like its unexpected results. The past few years I have been experimenting with
combining watercolors with images that I have found visually or emotionally
interesting.

Working with collage has helped me to develop my art in a new direction. More
recently, I have been using gouache, oil, and digital collages to record personal
associations and narratives. I am especially interested in contrasting moods and
contrasting visual elements.

I see my art work as a reflection on my own personal history in the world - a way to
tap into journeys, memories, and experiences.
